The electricity business as a pillar of the national economy enterprises have their own characteristics, its complex structure and equipment wide geographical distribution, in accordance with the division of labor, divided into many vertical sectors, such as scheduling, electricity, the power transmission, and so on. With the advancement of technology and the rapid development of the national economy, on the one hand power enterprises continue to introduce advanced equipment and management systems, in particular the growing popularity of computer application, on the other hand continue to expand the scale of the existing power grid, in the past the traditional power grid management model increasingly are not suited the development of the times. Therefore there must be a basic platform application of the various enterprises in the power sector, to meet the electricity enterprise unified management, unified planning needs. Power system for the research and development of GIS power supply enterprise management information system building, raise the level of office automation greatly promote the role of the optimization grid structure, improving reliability and distribution automation level has been of great significance to effectively increase the production of electricity Li's work efficiency, bring about significant social and economic benefits.This article puts forward a synthetic management system binding with Geography Information System to realize applications integration. And puts forward a data conformity notion which is based on mongline charts and equipment basic data, and whose background is GIS Geography map, whose core is the flow of producing management of transmitting and distributing electricity, and combined with other systems. To obtain this idea, the article analyzes the actuality of GIS (Geography Information System) in power supply enterprise of China, aims at the specialty of transmitting and distributing electricity in electric power industry, requires according to modernization management idea and service facing to consumers, assimilates the experiences and lessons of GIS construction in power supply enterprise of China.This paper distribution GIS functional requirements, the distribution network through the GIS data model analysis, the proposed distribution GIS database design methods and the construction process.
