Research And Design On Excitation Controller Of Synchronous Generator Based On DsPIC30F4011

The excitation controller is a significant part of excitation system of synchronous generator, which is important to keep security and stability of power system. With its enlargement of scale, more and more complex structure and running modes, it becomes necessary that the field system has better performance, higher reliability, better economical efficiency and flexibility. According to the developing trend of excitation controller of both domestic and outside China, the excitation controller for synchronous generator which based on dsPIC30F4011 is researched and designed in this paper.Firstly, functions and development of excitation control systems are introduced, consist of the excitation control mode, excitation control theory and hardware development process and tendency. Then, the great mass of this article is focused on research of main idea, hardware and software design of function modules for a dsPIC30F4011-based excitation controller. When designing the hardware, the plenty peripherals of chip dsPIC30F4011 are used fully, and the sync signal capture module, the analog signal sampling module, the input and output of switch signal module, the magnification and fault detection of the shift phase trigger pulse module are conformed to the integration. When designing the software, the program, structured, modularized, top-down and refined step by step, is followed. With plenty interrupt resource of the system, the program flow Of excitation regulation and control, frequency calculation, data sampling, the form of shift phase trigger pulse and excitation limitation are designed.Finally, the excitation control system is simulated in the SIMULINK platform of MATLAB. The simulation result indicate that the excitation control system of synchronous generator have the features of quick response, sensitive control, excellent control function, and etc.
