Traffic Function Evaluation And Methodology Study Of Urban Passenger Transport Hub

Recently, the study on the comprehensive transportation hub design and evaluation from the view of micro layer has attracted the attention of academicians, while the prior studies are mainly focus on the layout designing of the hubs, location modeling of the hubs etc. this thesis focus on the traffic function evaluation of the urban passenger transport hub. By the use of System Analysis and Synthetical Evaluation method, this thesis put forward a set of traffic function evaluation index and also the evaluation method of the urban passenger transport hub based on the services it offers to the passengers. By the study, it may help for the decision making of hub designing and management.Based on the review of current research aimed at evaluation of the urban passenger transport hub, this thesis has done as follows:1. Reviewed and analyzed current research and conclusion on transport hub and comprehensive transport hub, and then defined the traffic function evaluation of the urban passenger transport hub.2. Discussed the traffic function of the urban passenger transport hub based on the distributing, transferring and passing services it offers to the passengers after a system analysis about the system objectives, systems constructional and system function of the hub.3. Established the traffic function evaluation index system after the work it has been done in the second process, and than explain the definition and calculation method of each index.4. Analyzed the current studies of Synthetical Evaluation Method, and put forward the evaluation method of the traffic function of the urban passenger transport hub. And in order to prove the rationality and feasibility of the index system and also the evaluation method, a case study about the traffic function evaluation of the Xizhimen passenger transport hub was given out at last.
