Roll forming screw filling pile(screw pile for short below) is a kind of profiled pile which is still on research ground. On the basis of static load experiment, the bearing capability of screw pile is higher than that of the normal one with the same diameter. With the better technical and economics effects, screw pile is a kind of pile of great practical value.On the basis of static load experiment and data processing, the bearing capability of screw pile is focused, including three aspects as follows:Firstly, the mechanism of bearing capability is studied .Through the static load experiment and data processing, the mechanism of load transferring is summarized from several aspects and its bearing capability can be understood intuitionistic.Secondly, parameter optimization. The size of screw pile should designed reasonably. The relationship of width, thickness and the distance of screw tooth have something to do with soil layers, it's quite different from one solid condition to another.Thirdly, calculation formula of ultimate bearing capacity is put forward. With the method of limit equilibrium. The stress mechanism of the pile side is studied to propose appropriate calculation formula of ultimate bearing capacity .It can be proved correct through static load test.In the end , through the comparison of engineering cost , the bearing capacity of screw pile is bigger than that of normal one with the same diameter.
