ESG is universally considered the most accurate free-rotor gyroscope at present and is crucial for nuke and other strategic weapons in their strategic attacks。ESG's signal reading usually has two schemes: hollow rotor & photoelectric reading scheme and scheme of solid rotor & MUM reading. The research of solid rotor ESG system, supported by the Tenth Five-year defense project, is based on MUM-ESG signal pickoff, suspension and constant speed control scheme and the sensing part of rotor displacement is current comparator circuit. The measuring circuit of rotor displacement demodulates the output signal of current comparator circuit, which can get the suspension, rotate speed and H axes location signals. So, the precision of H axes location signal pickoff depends on the performance of current comparator circuit and the precision measuring circuit of rotor. In order to inplement the high precision MUM reading, this paper puts forward data acquisition and testing system based on USB 2.0, which can acquire and analyze the output signal of current comparator circuit so that the measuring circuit of rotor displacement could be designed better and the measuring precision could also be improved.Accord to the characteristic of output signal of current comparator circuit, this paper analyses the elementary designing requirements of data acquisition and testing system based on USB 2.0 and mainly introduces the design process. First of all, this paper discusses the fundamental of MUM reading and the whole framework of small-angle reading, analyses the characteristic of output signal of current comparator circuit and discusses the basic design requirements. Then the system scheme is put forwarded, including signal conditioning module and data acquisition module, and the hardware design process is also introduced particularly. The software design includes the design of firmware, drive and host program of data acquisition module of and the design of GPIF waveform is focused on in the firmware desgin, which controls the timing of AD. The application program design doesn't adope the tranditional design method of USB application program and introduces the NI-VISA and labview, which builds the powerful testing system. At last after dubugging the software and hardware, the performance of data acquisition module is tested and correlative experiments are finished。The experiment shows research on testing system on the output of MUM-ESG's measuring bridge achieve the prospective goal.
