Research On Some Technology Of Traffic Zone In Transportation Planning

This paper discusses several technical problems about traffic zone in the traffic planning and makes a research into the traffic zone dividing method and procedures for traffic zone code matching, incorporating and decompounding. The traffic zone division combine with fuzzy clustering analysis method will reduce the number of the traffic zones, greatly reducing the workload. In order to determine the size of traffic zone reasonably, this paper discusses a method of determining the size of traffic zone based on the resident trip length distribution, which can obtain high economic benefits with a certain practical value. With regard to the instance that the method and technique of OD survey advance incessantly, put forward using computer program to auto-change the traffic zone address into traffic zone code in OD survey. The design of interface and matching program is accomplished by C++Builder6.0 based on Paradox database .The reality indicates that it can save much time and manpower, promotes efficiency much higher the manual work. In the future, there will be much more diversified and precise demand to traffic survey, so we should pay more attention to survey measure and technique research and introduce more advanced scientific methods into our work.
