| With the design method based on performance(DMBP) advanced, the elast-plastic method attracts wide concern in the field of earthquake engineering. The elast-plastic method can be classified into two categories, that is, static elast-plastic method (so-called push-over method) and dynamic elast-plastic method (DEPM). They both have advantages and disadvantages, and both are recommended in China's Code for seismic design of buildings. In this paper, the development of theories of seismic design is discussed, then the two methods, push-over and DEPM, are introduced in detail, their basic assumptions, theoretical foundations and applying procedures are demonstrated.Using SAP2000 the modal of the part X3 and Y3 of the terminal building of the Shanghai PuDong International Airport T2 is established, according to its construction drawings. The modal structural system is mainly composed of bars. Different lateral load cases are employed in push-over analysis.Nonlinear time history analysis also carried in the analysis , in which two natural earthquake records and one artificial earthquake wave are selected. Finally, the capacity spectrums, demand spectrums, and thus object displacements are obtained. After that, careful comparison is undertaken, to reveal the seismic response and weak parts of the structure under different seismic degree, and seismic performance of the structure is judged. In the end, a summary of the analysis process and some suggestions for future reseach are given, expecting to contribute to the development of seismic performance evaluation methods. |
