The rural road in Sichuan Province is very poor for its low grade, poor construction technique and many still not paved oil road (or cement road), and there is no typical road surface and material and construction quality controlling index for the concrete environment and traffic condition for the county road. This paper is to do detailed survey on typical structure of rural road in Sichuan Province based on the construction of current rural road and the scientific research subject"The construction Research of Typical Road Surface in Sichuan Province"of Sichuan Provincial Communication Department.First, dividing Sichuan into three regional divisions by natural features of East Hill Area, Middle Campagna Area and West Mountain Area, we can conclude the structure, diseases, materials, status and the traffic constitution of the road surface on the investigation in the road status, structure form and subgrade condition of the three regional divisions by natural features, which provides elements for establishing typical structure. Then, we establish the parameter of rural road traffic design and grade the traffic on further analysis and research on the specialty of traffic volume and its constitution. Thirdly, we ascertain the genre of dry or wet and the strength of the subgrade according to the soil geology, climate condition, groundwater, the height of subgrade design and the character of subgrade soil in Sichuan Province, and also to grade on the strength of the subgrade by theoretical analysis. At last, through theoretical analysis and testing road, we build up the typical structure of cement concrete and asphalt road surface of Sichuan rural road after we get all kinds of design parameter of typical structure referring to the experience of local rural road construction.The result of research of this paper is practical and pertinent. It is not only meaningful to the guidance of speeding up the foundational establishment construction and the carry out of the actual project, but also can be the reference to the road surface structure of the western area or even the whole country's rural road. It has realistic signification and applying value for the full use of local road construction resource, the retrenchment of engineering and maintenance expenses, the improvement of quality of road surface design and usage and the prolongation of the service life of road surface.
