Abstract/Summary:
Open-graded friction courses (OGFC) is a new type of asphalt pavement that using open-graded aggregate to design with large voids volume, his feature include good function of draining, deslick, denoise and so on. It is significative to China west that popularizing OGFC.Based on deck paving engineering of ChongQing Jia Hua Bridge, a more detailed research is made from the selection of voids volume, the factor of voids volume, mixture design, mixture performances'evaluation, detection in field engineering, etc.The voids volume is chosen according to necessity of structure function and service performance in pavement. Research the correlation between the voids volume with function of draining, noise-reduction coefficient, antiskid, strength, durability. Then, make an assay of the influence factor to voids volume in mixture design and construction.. Derived from this analysis result, voids volume is of OGFC pavement is standardized. also, the result shows mixtures have a good effects.For the composition design of OGFC mixture, homogeneous design is made to analyze the correlativity between percentage of pivotal sieve pore with voids volume, And the influence significance of different factors is obtained by experiment verify. According to the significance analysis result, optimum mix is determined. Further test is carried on optimum mix, the result indicate OGFC mixture have a good service performance.Through wheel track test, fragmentation test, bend test and so on, OGFC mixture performance have been studied under specific condition of using different bituminous cement. Contrast the data and judge them, some valuable suggestion is gained. in order to optimize OGFC mixture, adding different fiber or lime hydrate to mixture is good at increase the durability.Detect the service performance of OGFC in ChongQing Jia Hua Bridge field engineering. The data based on practice is more factually reflect the pavement condition than indoor. According to the data, indicate the lack of study, so that it can facilitate reference of popularizing OGFC pavement in the southwest of China.
