Correspond with the development of excitation system, the test means of excitation system needs to be improved, the paper advances a new method of exciting simulation testing system from the perspective of circuit components. In this paper, in-depth analysis of the role and requirements of excitation system, structure and principle of Self-excitation system,the paper establishes a simulation test system of Three-phase full-bridge SCR Self-excitation control system on the basis of Distributed network modeling physical map simulation ideology by Multisim. In the paper I have made the step-response and fault simulation analysis of a 600 MW excitation system,the simulation results show that the simulation test system can be carried out from the component-level simulation, but also from circuit-level simulation, parameter adjustment and operation simple, have certain advantages relatively dynamic simulation experiments, practical significance from the in-depth analysis of components research unit within the excitation and the simulation of excitation unit malfunctions and setting synchronous generator parameters of practical significance.
