Since the end of 2006 China has imported and upgraded several kinds of EMUS (CRH1/CRH2/CRH5), which have run on the existing lines for almost two years, and CRH3 has also been running in the new online test. In the use of the process, particularly on the early line, several emergency failures happened frequently, such as the air-conditioning system failures of CRH2 which lead to delays many times. Therefore it's necessary to develop an efficient training and maintenance system based on Visual Simulation.Firstly Solid Edge is used in early modeling, and 3dsmax in post-processing. In the end the model is establish in a visual field using Visual C++. At the same time the system conjunct the dealing and maintenance standards in the "Operation and Maintenance Standards of EMU". This system has applied 3D modeling technology, OpenGL technology, database technology and multimedia programming technology. With document interface between them and the development platform, a multimedia training systems integrated voice, text and images will be established. The system is composed of visual scenes modules, emergency troubleshooting and interactive modules, system maintenance module, and in order to facilitate the staffs that have not been familiar with EMU, the system also includes a note module on handling emergency fault.The model completed will be displayed in the Visual scenes and will instruct a clear sign of the major fault handling locations, including the brake handle, Monitor screen, easy to strengthen the sense of direction and location flu of staffs in the actual troubleshooting. Emergency fault interactive module, which is a mode dialog box paralleling with visual scenes module, will show major failures information including fault picture, fault names, fault codes, and responsible persons to the trainees. They are asked to answer every step of approach to enhance the training memory effect with KMP algorithm to assess trainees answer. The main function of system maintenance and Modification Module are establishment of the database, query the database and revise these parts. The picture database can not been directly accessed for the pictures, so the module offer great convenience to the management of a large number of pictures, but also facilitate the expansion of the latter part of the system, including the expansion and each record set of vehicle emergency fault, so trainees and system maintenance person need not to directly reach the database.Development of this system will be achieved with minimal training resources but achieve the best effect, promoting the rapid development of Railway.
