Flight Control System(FCS) is responsible to assist the pilots to control the airplane in pitch axis, roll axis, and yaw axis. Accurate simulation for the deck effect of FCS under normal operation and fault disturbance is significant for Maintenance Training Device(MTD)to support the basic cognitive training, normal operation training, and troubleshooting training for mechanician. Oriented to A320 MTD, based on the research of FCS fault simulation at home and abroad, appropriate modeling and simulation methods are proposed and realized for AIRBUS 320 series aircraft.Based on detailed analysis of FCS, combining the modeling requirements of A320 MTD,modeling methods based on concept map and function module are put forward in the view of system structure and functional composition respectively. Taking rudder system for example,each of the models is simulated and realized. Firstly, system modeling requirements are proposed basing on the analysis of A320 MTD FCS. Secondly, the method of concept map is improved and applied to the modeling of systems with simple structure. Thirdly, modeling method based on function module is proposed in the angle of system functional composition as a result of the maladjustment of the method based on improved concept map to systems with complex structure. At last, modeling and simulation are conducted and realized on A320 MTD using the two proposed methods respectively, with the stability and expansibility analyzed.Simulation results show that the system outputs are consistent with operation and fault effects described in manual under different operation and fault disturbances, indicating that each of the models is capable of supporting the system basic cognitive training, normal operation training, and troubleshooting training, which satisfies the design requirements of A320 MTD.
