Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC) is a new kind of cement based composite material. Compared with normal strength concrete(ordinary concrete), it possesses high mechanical properties and durability. Application of RPC for structures can lighten them, and high impermeability of RPC can improve the durability of structures. The outstanding merit of RPC is that its compressive strength is very high, and arch is compressive-bending structural member, RPC arch which has the advantage of material and structure is worthy of study. Internationally the study and application of RPC is going on, under this background, this paper will mainly make the tentative research and study to the structure design and loading capability in the case that RPC is used in arch.This paper mainly focuses on the mechanical behavior of RPC arch. The content includes the analysis of loading capability of the RPC arch, model analysis of the arch, the compression of the rigidity of the RPC arch and the ordinary concrete arch. Further more, the stability; crack resistance and the seismic ability of the arch are also studied.
