| The traffic data of some Guangdong Province roads since 1997 are collected in this article, and scene traffic status is investigated in typical sections of roads in Shenzhen. From the investigation, the current road vehicular traffic character is summarized to heavy traffic and large-scale vehicle overweight. The extrinsic performances of overweight vehicles are heavy axial load and high pressure of tires which usually lead to heavy contact stress. In this case, the road surface is certainly at the condition of heavy-duty loading.The investigation and analysis of typical sections roads indicate that main diseases of asphalt pavement under heavy-duty loading contain rutting at wheel path, crack and water damage such as raveling and pothole because of delayed maintenance to cracks, which affects pavement operational performance and service life.Different asphalt pavement structures are chosen, and mechanics response of eight kinds of pavement structures is carried out using dynamic modulus through finite element method under varied load. It indicates stress and strain disciplinarians of pavement structures under heavy-duty loading. And it determines the design indexes of asphalt pavement structure under heavy-duty loading which contain horizontal landscape tensile stress and strain of asphalt layer bottom and top, underside horizontal tensile stress and strain of base and subbase, the horizontal level shear stress of asphalt surface, and so on. Base on some studies about weather, traffic and materials for pavements, this paper work on the pavement structure design and the material composition design for Long-Da freeway.After the construction of five Sections typical experiment roads in Long-Da freeway, a summary of materials, construction and design experience about these experiment roads is made. Through test device planted in these experiment roads, a follow-up observation is carried out. The results of the test are as follows, the pressure boxes in different locations have different stress, the stress of the lay near the surface of pavement is greater, the dynamic response instrument used in measure the dynamic strain of pavements is feasible, and the road surface is under a state of tension in the vehicle load, these results could also explain some of the reasons for asphalt pavement's early cracks. |
