The traffic accident induced the great damage to people's life, induced the great damage to people's wealth. The traffic accident for roll-over collision is more important, influenced the social stability. This paper introduced the roll-over regulation of bus, introduced the FEM theory of structure with large displacement and large deformation.The research work mainly included:( 1) established roll-over collision model about a single pillar of bus according to regulation FMVSS216, researched the roll-over crashworthiness of a single pillar, researched the influence of the section of a pillar section and the thick of a pillar. The result indicated that plastic joint can be formed in the bottom of the pillar. And collision force can be changed constant for the influenced of plastic joint.(2) established roll-over collision model about a body section of bus according to regulation ece66, researched the roll-over crashworthiness of a body section, researched the influenced of the roof rail. The result indicated that there are four plastic joint can be formed in the body section, and crash force can be transferred from a pillar to the other pillar for the influenced of the roof rail.(3) established roll-over collision model about the GL6460L light bus according to regulation ece66, and introduced the process of establishing the roll-over collision model. It was validated that the GL6460L light bus can be fulfilled the regulation ece66.
