As a rapid analysis method,X-ray fluorescence analysis technique has high practical value in industry and human daily life. Especially portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer provides a kind of quick,lower cost and non-destructive way for in-situ detecting,screening and controlling of harmful chemical elements for the related enterprise. It has been widely used in geological exploration of mineral resources,industrial process analysis, environment investigation,commercial testing and other departments. From the practical point of view,after investigation,research and analysis of RoHS directive,we use IED-2000P Energy dispersion X-ray fluorescence analyzer to analysis the five elements Br,Hg,Pb,Cr and Cd respectively in four-matrix material. The paper aims to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of testing in the electronics industry based on RoHS standards,.In order to raise the accuracy,precision and reduce detection of X-ray fluorescence analyzer,it is one of key measure that rising source power of spectral X-ray. When use low-power X-ray prope as excitation source of X-ray fluorescence analyzer,because of bremsstrahlung,X-ray spectroscope which emitted by it is consecutive,go against X-ray fluorescence analysis. Theory and practice show that: target W can improve excitation efficiency of characteristic X-ray to objective elements Cr effectivly. In this paper,we use low-power X-ray prope and radioisotope source as sources of XRF to measure and analysis samples, comparing the results of two sources, in order to find the best measuring condition of different samples.Use standard curve to do X-ray fluorescence analysis practice to samples which based on on the RoHS standard. Establish the standard curve of Cr, Pb, Hg, Br and Cd elements in matrix of SiO2, Cu, Sn and polyethylene. Then analysis measurement datas, we get judgment reference standard of qualified samples and the average relative error of each element. All those verificate the feasibility of X-ray fluorescence analysis technique application in RoHS standard. By measuring samples we get misjudgment rate of each element. Those provide reference for practical application.Uneven Samples impact greatly on the results, especially in the measurement of prope. The particularity of stimulating device,make uneven samples have great effect on counting. We can take samples by ways of external examination and buy some kind of national standard samples to reduce these reasons for the error.Finally come to the conclusion: Portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer analysis the RoHS directive is feasible. It has characteristics of portable, fast measurement and so on.
