Standard system is of great importance in the smart grid construction. Therefore, whether domestic or international, research on the standard system never stopped. At present, domestic and foreign smart grid technology standard system have already been established, research on the standard system also have a relatively mature results. Developing Standards is no longer a problem, and we should take the next step research focus on how to correctly use the standard, as well as meet the system interoperability.This paper firstly bases on the domestic and international newest situation of standard system research, discusses the importance of technical standard system. By combining smart grid related standard system at home and abroad, the paper find existing gap between existing standards and ideal smart grid scene. On the basis of focusing on the largest four technical standard systems, summarizes the general characteristics of foreign technical standards system. The study will play a guide role for our own further deepen study on standardization of smart grid.Secondly, this paper studies on how to analyze the technical standard system for smart grid. The research is based on the analysis of methods for analysis of smart grid technology standard system, research by the methodology of the research to guide the analysis tools. The smart grid is a new thing; the traditional analysis method is no longer suitable for it. And the system engineering methodology, as it pays attention to feature the top design, is regarded as the new guidance method capable of standard system. Based on the system engineering methodology, IEC developed two types of smart grid technology standard system analysis tools:EEC Mapping Chart and Use Case. This paper introduces the traditional methodology and the system engineering methodology, and takes comparison of the two kinds of methodology. The analysis tool developed under the two methodologies:the Gantt chart, IEC Mapping Chart and Use Case is also introduced and compared.Finally, according to the status of technical standard system of strong smart grid in China, combined with our actual needs, the paper try to build a analysis tools suitable for China’s standard system.
