As the industry of automobile developed fast, people's standard of automobile's performance is higher and higher. For there are many rotating parts in the automobile, the status of them hence seriously affects the riding comfort and driving safety of automobile. Rotor unbalance is the main course of vibration in rotating machines, and it is also the main course of malfunction, so it is necessary to balance the rotor in time. Developing a kind of low cost, high generality, operated simply and good interfaced portable instrument of field balancing, and using it to balance the rotor in automobile, the vibration of the automobile can be reduced in time, so it is undoubtedly significant to improve the performance of automobile.Beginning with the theory of field dynamic balancing, anglicizing the cause and the different situation of rotor unbalance, providing the force analysis of unbalanced rotor, the theoretical basis of dynamic balance was given in this paper. According to the sequence of field dynamic balancing, the problem that should be observed and the operating principle during dynamic balance are described. For the selection of dynamic balance method, comparing the two widely used Influence coefficient methods, beginning with the vibration model of rotor, through mathematical derivation, the difference between the two methods was confirmed, and the regulation of precision change was summarized, after that, the suggestion to choose was given, so the precision of dynamic balancing is improved.Based on the research of the theory and technique in field dynamic balancing, the circuit and the program of the field dynamic balancing testing system used single chip were designed. Considering the difference about rotating speed of different rotor in automobile, for widening the application scope of the instrument, the technology of center frequency tracking was used. And what's more, the structure of"sample and hold at the same time but convert at different times"was used to ensure the accuracy of phase, and the cost was reduced at the same time. For using the keyboard and LCD as the interface of the instrument and human, the functionality of the instrument was well embodied, and as the suggestion of operation was provided by the instrument, the workload of the operator was reduced. Finally, in order to guarantee debugging smoothly, the soft ware of KEILC and PROTEUS were combined to do the simulation, after successfully simulated and checked, the circuit of the instrument was debugged. And then, the experiment result was compared with another system, so the dynamic balance effect was verified at the last part of this paper.
