Study On Ecological Planning Of Small Town Base On GIS Technology

The development of small towns is a great strategy, which motivates the development of rural society and economy. After reform and opening, with the accelerated industrialization and urbanization, small towns have been get rapid development in China . However, the environment and ecology of small town is getting worse and worse, it has been the bottleneck in further development. Due to this, the ecological planning of small town is brought forward, to make plan and put forward some implement measures for the ecologic building of small town, guide the development of economy and environmental resource exploitation in small town , realize the harmony and unity of economic development and ecological environment, and develop sustainable, stable and healthy small towns with desirable environment of human settlement.According to some interrelated theories of small town ecological planning, applying ecological factors and landscape ecology methods, using the technique of GIS, the thesis analyzes the characteristics of the landscape pattern and the land suitability of Chaoyang, make the scheme of eco-environmental function division based on the sensitivity analyses and the value assessment of ecosystem services. The purpose of the research is to study and discuss the ecological planning of Chaoyang and seek a new ways of ecological planning of small town based on GIS.After research and analysis, the results are as the following: the new district of Chaoyang should develop along the banks of the Daling River ; more natural ecological corridor linking should be built in the planning, for the purpose of reducing human constructs impact on natural environment; ecology function zone of Chaoyang is divided into three kinds: mountain ecological protection zone, foothill ecological conservation district and plain ecological coordinated area, every kind has different requests, development goals and development directions.The technique of GIS has been successfully applied to ecological planning of small town in the paper, that provides not only scientific basis for ecological building, but also profundity discuss ecological planning of other small towns in the north. In addition, the research has researched and practiced in either technology or technique, especially on the combination of geographic spatial analysis and ecological theory and methods.
