YinGongZhou channel is characterized by its curving, narrow, large traffic flow, multi-branching estuaries and disordered state, which not only decides Yangtze River's traffic capacity and navigational efficiency , but also restricts the safety passing of large-vessels,and becomes "bottleneck channel" of restricting the development of Yangtze River shipping industry. Once serious traffic accident happens, it may result in obstruction and interrupt the shipping of Yangtze River and Beijing-Hangzhou canal in ZhenJiang, causing serious economic losses and social impacts.In order to meet the need of the development of present shipping industry and make use of YinGongZhou Channel's navigation condition scientifically, it is necessary to carry on scientific research about navigation condition and single ship traffic capacity to provide scientific supervision basis for maritime administration departments about large single ships crossing the channel.This paper aims to establish a mathematical model of ship navigation drift by analysis of meteorological condition, hydrology condition and the channel' condition, together with the channel's actual characterics. Finally we calculate the largest single ship crossing the channel and confirm the practicality and universality of the research result by the ship simulation method and compassion with theoretical calculation results.This thesis is composes of five parts:1.Summary: introduce the source and background of this paper,the present research condition at home and abroad,the research content and the pending problem,and establish the research direction and the whole idea.2.Analysis of the factors affecting the channel traffic capacity: By analyzing the meteorological condition, the hydrology condition , the channel' condition and the type and scale of the crossing ships, providing datas for the establishment of the mathematical model of ship navigation drift and the calculation of the ship track width.3.EstabIishmeng of the mathematical model of the channel's traffic capacity: According to the channel's actual characterics , establishing the mathematical model of ship navigation drift in curving and straight channels ,and calculating effective width in differrent depth and the restrictions of the depth of the channel to the traffic capacity.4.Studies of ship's simulation: According to the simulation studies of various typical ships passing the channel,obtaining the ship's standards of restricted naviganion in different external conditions trials,confirming that the research results have practive application value by conducting contrastive analysis research with the the theoretical calculation results.5.Conclusion: We conclude the greatest length, the great width, the draft and the corresponding safety measures of the typical sea boats crossing the channel by theoretical calculations and the results of simulation research and comprehensive analysis of ships under the function of various factors.
