Wuhan City has accelerated the urbanization process in recent years, but due to lack of co-ordination of primary and secondary roads, urban planning's relatively backward, the river traffic, and low efficiency, of the bus operators. These cause a lot of inconvenience to Wuhan City residents' travel, which requires Transportation management department must provide all-round, multi-level, a variety of ways transport travel information to public anytime and anywhere. These require a traffic information collection, processing, dissemination and feedback techniques and mechanisms, and the direct way to realize these features is building Travel Information Service System.In the Intelligent Transportation System, intelligent traffic information service system is the main areas for development, and it is called for the public's advanced traffic information service system. Public transport travel information service system is an important part of intelligent transport system research. It is the inevitable demand and trends of the modern traffic managements' development and construction. The system integrates information collection, information processing and information dissemination, using a variety of information dissemination to provide traffic information to the public.It is arranged as "overall to partition" in this thesis and some problems of Wuhan City public-travel traffic information service system are studied in this thesis. Traffic Information Service System is made by information collection, information processing centers, information dissemination and communication system. on the basis of the analysis of the system's advanced technology, it studies the various of components of the functions and data information flow between various parts of the components, and it gives the Logical structure.This thesis analysis various acquisition method and acquisition technology from the static and dynamic characteristics of the information. It is focusing on the determination of the number of samples of the information collection system of the floating cars, discuss the fixed detector optimized points by Using similar relationship in traffic in urban road network in certain basic sections.Traffic Information Processing Center is a very crucial part of a public transport travel information service system. It discusses the information processing center's overall structure based on the analysis of the performance and function of the Information Processing Center. It builds Information Processing Center's data storage architecture which contains database and data warehouse technology. It also analyses traffic information processing methods including data pre-processing, data fusion and data mining technology.This thesis analyses various traffic information dissemination and application object, constructs the published module and function structure of the traffic information dissemination system. It designs network architecture of the communication system, analyses and compares various of communication technologies, research on DSRC in the application of information release.
