Analysis And Research Of Expressway Travel Information Service System

The integrated transportation system has taken shape with the rapid development of Chinese expressway. The bottleneck of the national economy by transportation in a long time has been further alleviated. How to facilitate more people by traffic information technology has been a hot spot. In the situation of current rising tide subside of expressway construction, how to strengthen the management and the public services of expressways has become more and more important. That has also been a very real problem to expressway management department. Expressway travel information service system was brought forward in this background. Based on existing monitoring systems and other systems, travel information for people is published.The dissertation compares and analyse the public travel service system of expressways and the urban in domestic and international. Study focuses on the public demand for travel, the structure of mature travel service system, GIS applications, call center structure and functions, information collecting, processing and publishing modules. At last, the author brings forward the expressway travel information service system concept of Gansu Province on the basis of its socio-economic development, the status of road network and operation of the expressway management system.Research shows that Gansu expressway travel information service system should be different with typical ones and monitoring systems. It consists of call center, equipment of net and communication, information publishing terminal equipments. In the near future it's very important to enhance call center functions, improve information collecting method, increas in information publishing terminal equipments. A highly intelligent expressway travel information service system will gradually achieve in long-term-oriented. The system will be based on automation, advanced GPS technology, communications technology.
