Research On The Key Technology, And Application Of Traffic Information System For The Common Information Platform

Intelligent Transportation System(ITS)manages and controls traffic resources more effectively to improve the flexibility and security of traffic with the application of communication technology,artificial intelligence technology,and computer technology. ITS is the future direction of traffic development in China. The common information platform is the data center of ITS which can make the exchange and management of data orderly and effective. Traffic information system is the core of the common information platform and the basis of providing information service. This paper relays on the project "The Fundamental Traffic Information Collection and Fusion Technology" supported by National Key Technologies Research and Development Program in the 10th Five-year-plan. According to the realistic situation of traffic development, we analyze the system requirement and design the architecture. The research objective of this paper is to provide theoretic foundations and operation technology for the common information platform and its information system. The main research contents and conclusions are following:1,After classifying the information sources of the common information platform and analyzing the requirements of the subsystems of ITS, we find the complexity of data exchange of different subsystems which have great independence on fundamental traffic information. Each subsystem can cooperate with other subsystems to improve the whole efficiency of ITS through the integrated environment of the common information platform. 2,Design the architecture of the common information platform which can make the traffic information shared and be fit for the situation of china. The building of framework plays a very important role in the development, application and research of the common information platform.3,Make researches on the significance and advancement of information system in the common information platform. After analyzing the functions of the traffic information system, we divide the traffic information into data flow process, physical framework and logical framework according to the data flow of the mainline. All of these works lay foundation for the analyses and studies of the information organization and cooperation in the information system and will help to realize the share of traffic information. 4,The characteristics of the common information platform determine the variety of the ways of information dissemination. The ways of information dissemination are compared. We select the right ways fit for the contents and characteristics of information dissemination. We introduce the device of information query system which includes the approach to electrical map making and the research on the algorithm of optimum path. The algorithm of optimum path makes it possible that the system gives the optimum path to users. The information query system shows quick, direct, and exact result to travelers, which meets the requirements of users and optimizes the operation of the whole traffic system. 5,The most important part is the construction of the information communication. The structure of communication system is designed in accordance with the requirements. We discuss the characteristics and theories of wireless and wire technologies in detail and compare the advantages and disadvantages of different communication technologies. The dissertation gives some methods of the applications of communication technologies in the common information platform, which provides reference for the communication technology utilized in the common information platform. The security of the data transited by the common information platform has effect on the normal operation of the platform. So several network security technologies are considered and studied. This dissertation studies and resolves problems for the sake of traffic requirement. It gives instructive advice for the construction and realization of the common information platform in China.
