Beam String Structure(BSS)is a new type structure,using bar connecting arches and cables,is a new type of long-span structures.In recent years,BSS is becoming one of the focus for study in the field of space structure due to its many merits such as light weight stiffiness of the system,upstanding ability of configuration and shape and applicability of architecture.moreover,there are three structures of buildings in lately-set up Olympics is BBS system.Besides universal characteristics of BSS,Radiant BSS has also the advantages of force flow direct,integral rigidity and simple construction.in this paper,static behaviour analysis and dynamic behaviour analysis of radiant BSS is studied based on achievement of previous reseachMaking use of the APDL(ANSYS Parametric Design Language)in ansys,developing the special parametric program to model radiant BSS buiding,which provides a precondition for the progressive study on the stactic,dynamic behaviour characteristics of this structure.Adopting Finite Element Method,analyzed stactic behaviour characteristics and studied influence of this structure due to different parameters,then,studied RBBS's change regulation of internal forces and displacement about different rise-span ratio and different sag-span ratio.In this paper,studied dynamic characteristic of this structure,including free vibration characteristic and seismic characteristic.The time history analysis is used to calculate and analyze the seismic response of radiant BSS,and the results are summarized.Furthermore, the time history analysis is adopted to calculate the response of radiant BSS under threedimension seismic action,internal forces and displacement of influencing parameters on the dynamic characteristics are analyzed and compared with each other,which are the risespan ratio,sag-span ration,prestress of string,number of struts,damping,number of annular string conditions etc.,results from the analysis supplied some applicable conclusions servicing for engineering and design.
