This paper is concered with the radiant beam string structure, based on X Area of the convention expo center of Nanshan. Making use of the SAP2000 in ansysis,developing the modal analysis including free vibiation characteristic. At the same time, the influence is discussed of the bearing connection and prestressed force and the position of the stay pole to the modal characteristic. The time history analysis is developed in the paper. The stability analysis is studied of a single structure.It shows that the prestressed force increases the stiffness of the strusture and decreases the deformation. The free vibiation characteristic of radiant BBS. The symmetry structure is without symmtry modal for the vibration of the prestressed cables.The modal analysis shows that the influnce is clear to the higher modes. The prestressed force of the cables has no influnce to the free vibiation characteristic and the sum of the stay poles has little influnce to it. The time-dependant curves are basically the same and steady. Seismic Behavior is hiagh. Nonlinear buckling load is more less than lineat buckling load based on stability analysis. So designing long-span construction, analysing nonlinear buckling and taking the influnce of the stability to the structure safety into account.It shows that radiant beam string structure has high mechanical and seismic behavior and stabality. It fits the long-span construction. Radiant beam string structure has cetensive ues.
