With the economic and social development, market demand showing the characteristics of dynamic change, Modern manufacturing systems have become the intelligent manufacturing system that require to meet changes in market demand, the adjustment process, function and variable production. Therefore, In the late 20th century, the industrial sector put forward a series of new manufacturing philosophy, in this context, reconfigurable manufacturing systems(RMS) theory emerged.Reconfigurable Manufacturing represents the development trend of manufacturing in the 21st century, which is a hot topic in advance manufacturing model rearch. Currently, RMS theoretical research has made some progress, the application is relatively backward, and it is still at the initial stage. Therefore, exploring some key technologies of RMS play an important theoretical and practical value.This paper study the following aspects of some key technologies in reconfigurable manufacturing systems mainly :1. The challenges and opportunities of the modern manufacturing is expounded, the definition of content, Features and enabling technology is discussed, the theory and practice of reconfigurable manufacturing status is introduced, The paper also puts forward several key technology research study.2. We propose the product family plan for RMS. The modular product structure, technology and market demand of Agile Manufacturing system is analysised,and we study a number of feature attributes of modular product family, establish a quantitative correlation matrix product family attributes, and access to similar value of productsfinally. The result provide a basis for the reconstruction of Agile Manufacturing Enterprise .3. We propose a parts cluster approach which adapt to variety and Variable Batch condition. we establish the formal matter-element model of parts, expand parts attributes, realize two related evaluation by qualitative rough calculation and Comprehensive correlation calculation. Thus, we achieve a the parts division which integrate qualitaty and quantitaty. 4. In point of complicated, time-varying characteristics of reconfigurable manufacturing systems, we combinate the object-oriented design methods, use UML and OPN to establish a manufacturing cell model. First, Petri net modeling software is used to establish a manufacturing cell model; second, some mapping rules can be mapped into plans which described in UML model; finally, we use UML tool to create a framework of control procedure codes.5. According to reconfigurable machine tool design theory,we study the modular design method of reconfigurable machine tool in-depth. We identify the process characteristics of the workpiece, and the processing operations are formulated, distincted and combined; the basic functional modules kinematics expression of machine tool is established by screw theory; and then we have completed the motor function module of machine mechanical system; Finally, the conceptual prototype on disc parts manufacturing of reconfigurable machine tool is presented.6. For the special Inmanufacturing tasks and available equipments, which are subject to some constraintconditions involving the delivery term,process capability of manufacturing equipment and transfer time between equipments, a minimizing objective function, which is the total outgoing of machining cost, transportation cost to transferworkpieces on shop floor, is presented. Then Matlab genetic algorithm tool box to realize the optimization of manufacturing resource is put forward and an application example is analyzed.
