Analysis Of Regulation And Renewal For The West Districts In Taiyuan

The sustained growth of the national economy has stimulated the rapid growth in traffic demand; at the same time, the foundation of transport facilities is relatively weak. It seriously influenced on urban socio-economic development and people's normal life. Traffic problems have become the key to the healthy development of cities. The regulating of developmental directions and structures for cities caused the changes of road network in the form; furthermore, problems also have been aggravated to some extent. The road space and resources which can be provided in cities are limited, while some major conditions tremendously changed, such as the size and structure of cities, the mobility of traffic, car resources, outlying roads and the integration of regional economy, and so on. These made the existing road network planning can hardly meet the requirements of the development; therefore, we should regulate and renovate the road network planning. In order to realize the regulation for the old urban districts, this paper studies that the road network in districts how to integrate with the main district, the adjustment and layout of regional road network, optimizing old urban areas and so on in the west districts of Taiyuan. This is based on the analysis and investigation for the urban roads, domestic and foreign advanced concepts, and the road network planning in the west districts of Taiyuan. Through the project of regulation and renewal for the west districts in Taiyuan, this paper provides new ideas and ways for the road designers, urban planning workers and other researchers in related areas to make the city self-renewal in the process of restructuring and updating of the roads can be more efficient, scientific. Moreover, it also provides some useful exploration for the road adjustment and designing in the urban planning.In this paper, the author analyses the current situations of Chinese urban road traffic and existing problems form the perspective of the actual situation in Taiyuan. It combines theories closely with practice, and connected with related literature. This paper explores the problems and upgrading the Chinese urban road system from the different aspects of urban planning and transport planning. In pursues the root of the problems, and tries to change the traditional ideas, then to regulate the structure and grading of the road network as a whole, finally, to improve the function of the road system. We should achieve the development of urban road system by adjusting the roads of old city. Compared with the specific examples of road network regulation planning in west districts of Taiyuan, it discusses the strategies in regulating and updating the urban roads on the basis of the advanced theories and experience from home and foreign countries.Based on the study of theories and practical experience in building urban road system at home and abroad, and the characteristics of China's urban traffic and the relevant information, the research target is the road system in Taiyuan. The paper comprehensively analyzes the existing problem on current road system and comes up with ideas and measures of adjustment and updating for the road system. We try to combine theory with practice in the course of the study, so it is theoretical and practical. In section of theories, it explores gradually the related factor for the road system from regulations of the road system in cities how to influence the urban road construction and adjustment, and strategies and measures for adjusting and updating the road system, in addition, it studies how to build Theoretical system of updating and regulating urban roads. In the section of methodology, firstly the author adopts the principles of engineering to analyze influenced factors for the road system and their relationship among them. This provides the next step of the construction of theoretical system with a scientific basis. At the same time, with the specific situation in the west districts of Taiyuan, we carry on the regulation planning. At last, he comes up with the theoretical system of the road network to update and adjust.The planning of urban road system to update and adjust planning is a complex process. It is a multi-level, multi-aspect of the complex work. Different provinces and regions in China have their characteristics, and objectives of urban road network planning are various, so the roles of urban road network are not the same. It gives some proposals on updating and regulating the urban roads in the west districts of Taiyuan, and it will be useful for providing some experience and lessons.
