The Study On The Landscape Environmental Planning And Design For The Elderly People Apartment In Fujian Province

Aging of population had been proved to be an inevitable result with the development of modern society and economy. With the change of the conception of the aged, a new kind of residence-apartments for elderly emerged as the new require. As an important component of old-living facilities in supporting pattern, more and more elders selected apartment for the elderly as residence, so the perfect design for elderly apartment environment space was urgent for landscape designer. In China,the apartments for elderly developed quickly in these years. However, researches on the apartments for elderly started late and lack of attention to it, there were some problems, such as the unreasonable activity establishment design, the unfit plants arrangement, short of no-obstacle environment, the road security and lack of region culture and so on. So, the studies of greatly theoretical and practical for the landscape planning and design of the apartments for elderly was very important to provide constructive information for future reference in China.Aging of population in Fujian province is faster than the average level in China, which will challenge the development of economy and social security for the elderly. The data about existence status of spatial nest old person in Fuzhou from the Fuzhou Older Committee and the Investigation Center of Society & Public Opinion in Fujian, which show that there were about 860,000 spatial nest old people in the Fuzhou city, about 24.6% of the total elderly population.In the study, with the method of on-spot investigation, questionnaire survey and behavior observation, through investigation of the factors of the physiological, psychological and social features of the aged, to generalized the behavior modes of aged in the elderly people apartment and disquisition on theory of essential principles and landscape planning and design.The research aimed to explores the location and site planning patterns for elderly apartment; propose the target, principles and methods of planning and design to meet the needs of elders. Through analysis and synthesis, this paper maked several conclusions of the methods and techniques of planning and design for the elderly people apartment. Then, the study was probed into to draw the design theory of exercise space, leisure, intercourse space and healing recuperate space; furthermore probed into study the constructing of walking environment for the elderly, plants arrangement and landscape facility establishment. At the end of the study, redesigning the outdoor space of Hai Xia Yi Le Yuan elderly people apartment to validate these principles and design in the study, which deepens the comprehend and application of theory of apartments for elderly planning and design.
