Humanized Design Research On Elderly Apartment

The21st century is an ageing population of rapid development period, the worldfaced with the challenge of an ageing population. Along with society’s progress and therapid development of economy, china enters the aging society in an all-round way in1999, aging population is increasing, and has the characteristics of a large base, fastgrowth, the elderly population, this makes endowment problems become the focus ofsocial attention. On the one hand, the old not only need to improve the quality of living,also need more social care and psychological comfort. On the other hand, thecharacteristics of society gradually appeared family miniaturization, empty nest inChina, increase the burden of the family pension. Pension institution has the problem oflow management level and imperfect supporting service facilities. Based on thisbackground, society needs to develop new endowment mode.This article through to analysis of pension mode and the old residential buildingsboth at home and abroad, combined with its own national conditions of our country,discussing the needs of the elderly apartments for the elderly, and the development ofthe meaning of the elderly apartment in our country. Elderly apartment in our countryhas developed more than20years, and has many types. But Apartments with scale forthe elderly to meet the diverse housing needs for the elderly, but also multi-functionalservices for the elderly, still in its infancy. But in European and American developedcountries, has been relatively mature. For the development of elderly apartment in ourcountry, in addition to draw lessons from foreign elderly apartment of practicalexperience, but also give full consideration to the different needs of the elderly in ourcountry, basing on the elderly and designing elderly apartment of human nature, this isalso the trend of the development of elderly apartment in our country.This article in the view of architecture, study on physical, psychological andbehavioral characteristics of the elderly, and combined with the human bodyengineering, to research the elderly apartment’s main space design. In the design ofpublic traffic space, indoor and outdoor living space, on the premise of humanizeddesign concept, to meet the elderly physiological and psychological needs as the goal, for the elderly to create safe, convenient and comfortable living environment, intends toprovide some enlightenment for the research of the elderly apartments in future.
