Recently, rapid development of maicro electronics and power electronic accelerate srong popular of power converter. On one hand ,power converter bring tremendous economic benefits to our country ,on the other hand ,it bring pollution to quality of power . Apparantly ,an active measure to develop power converter of good property and control quality and of controlled input factor and can not to harmonic pollution to electrified wire netting.Of all new type ,matrix converter get scientists big attention, because it has simple structure and many good quality.In this paper ,matix converter is studied about following aspects.1 The operation principle, structure characteristic, used scope and evident virtue of matrix converter is explored, it is compared with other power converters about good and bad aspects.2 Several control techniques are explored in detail about their good and bad aspects. Double space vector modulation technique ,which combines output line voltage space vector modulation and input phase current space vector modulation ,and optimized nine-segment modulation strategy is emphasized.3 Another difficult aspect is inquired into , it is current commutation. Four-step current commutation is emphasized.4 the optimized nine pulses is produced exactly by using s-function in matlab software ,and this modulation strategy is simulated by simulink. The perfect capability of this strategy is verified by the simulation result.
