The electrification railroad is a keystone development traffic in our country .Along with the development of the economy, under current charged electrical network condition, while railway electrification is flying rapid development, has also had the very tremendous influence to the power supply electrical network, expose some problem and irregularity. the electric locomotive power and the driving mode of high-power single-phase rectifier load characteristics of the traction play an important and decisive role, such as lead to the emergence of negative sequence current, three-phase power grid caused asymmetry; harmonics generated from the voltage waveform distortion; and the phenomenon of low power factor. As the improvement of electrical load capacity locomotive and the continuous operating speed, power level will be substantial increased, and the impact on the power grid will be increased either. How to impact on the power system's reduced to a minimum, become a must seriously consider and efforts to resolve the problem.Beijing-Shanghai railway electrification is a nation-building key project. During the 11th Five-Year Plan period, Anhui Sanjie traction substation is supplied from Anhui Jiashan substation power supply grid. According to the electricity branch and railway departments of power quality requirements, the paper focuses on the composition and the voltage control principles of the controller SVC and SVG designs the two in practical engineering in the configuration and operation mode for 27.5 kV bus side harmonic and reactive control compensation of the Sanjie traction substation and the stability which improve their local power grid and the role of related technical parameters were compared.
