In order to enhance the level of reactive voltage professional management and guarantee the voltage quality, it is necessary to master the detail information of reactive-load compensation equipments of Beijing power grid. This is also the research foundation on how to make the reactive-load compensation more proper. This thesis first introduces the basic information of the reactive-load compensation equipments of Beijing power grid. Then the distribution information of the capacitive and inductance reactive compensation equipments is also introduced.Finally, the reactive tidal of a typical 110kV transformer(50MVA,Uk=14%)operating under the maximum load coefficient (including two conditions,65% and 87%) calculated. Then the reasonable reactive compensation mode and the parameters are confirmed after the calculation. The results show that the problems caused by quick increasing of reactive load are alleviated. At the same time, the large flow of the reactive power in the power grid are decreased and transmission line loss is reduced. The voltage quanlity control will become more easily.
