| To facilitate the management of the complex and vast distribution network, the Distribution Network GIS is established based on ArcInfo platform of GIS technique in Power enterprise. In this papar, the background and the significance is firstly outlined.Secondly, the essential technologies based on ArcInfo are introducted. Thirdly, the comprehensive system analysis is carried on in detail.Then the system's design are described.Afterwards the realization of database and the function module are elaborated. Finally the design and the development of this system are concluded.The practice proved that, the efficiency of power enterprise is improved through utilizing the graphic and advanced management tool for facility management as well as aided decision, which is provided by advanced and direct-viewing distribution network GIS.
