With power units developing towards large capacity, advanced parameters direction and new technologies being applied in thermal power units, safety and efficiency of the unit are being increasingly concerned. Thermal power plant simulation technology has been playing a significant role in operators training and the debugging,operation and transformation processes of the unit. As a result, economic and high-efficient training simulation system is attaching more and more importance. It also advances high demand for power system simulator.Based on the methods of engineering modularization modeling,fluid network and lumped-parameter etc, a new multimodal simulation system for a thermal power plant is successfully established and debugged in this paper. Combined with the simulative mathematical models, some of simulation algorithms are modified, and the modified simulation algorithms are applied to new simulation system. Further, according to the data and phenomenon in site operation, dynamic and static processes of the simulation model are detailedly analyzed respectively. The results show that precision of the simulation system is improved by the modified simulation algorithms. The model is proved to be able to simulate the operating characteristic of power unit correctly, and satisfies the need of operator training.
