Most of domestic electric power enterprises have been using termly maintenance and fault maintenance for a long-term,nether of which can reflect the external needs of equipments exactly and may maintain them insufficiently or overly. Condition based maintenance can make the equipment run in a safe and effective state through differentiate running status of the equipment based on present running condition and arrange a examination. This paper designs and implements a power plant equipment health status estimate system, which uses data mining theory and based on the electric power real time data manage system. Following works have be done in this paper: a subject data house has been established based on the databases of the real time system and produce manage system, and a knowledge base has been created after a data mining on the history data of equipment, and a work flow of estimating power plant equipment health status has been designed.This paper attempts to prove the validity of the data mining method which based on improved decision-making tree by applying it on fault instance of a boiler reheater. It can be used to power plant equipment capability analysis, status inspect, fault diagnosis and can provide technical supports on equipment status overhaul.
