| Terminal sensing-ammunition is a kind of smart ammunition exactly attacking tank top armor's which combined advanced sensing technology with explosively formed penetration(EFP).it has been widely used on different weapon platform of many countries. EFP warhead technology is the key technology of terminal sensing-ammunition.the performance of EFP is the critical factor of weapon system,so,many counties make great effort to develop EFP technology.Hydrodynamics numerical simulation method was used to study the EFP's formation. flight and penetration in this paper,shape,material and thickness of shell,shape and material of liner,length to diameter ratio of explosive charge,ignition method were used as mainly influence parameter for calculation.Design and numerical simulation of prototype which must meet the required performance of advanced development were carried out,the length to diameter of EFP is about 3,the initial velocity of EFP is near 2000m/s.the rod of EFP is compact.EFP also has tail for flight stabilization.EFP can penetrate the target required.Numerical simulation results showed that requirement of prototype can be met fully.The flight and penetration experiment of prototype at range showed that the EFP flied in stabilization state,dispersion and penetration of EFP met the design request.Experiment also showed that a high progress in aerodynamic stability EFP were made in this study.The result of research has an important guidance to the structure design of EFP warhead. |
