Due to the simple construction, low cost and high efficiency in the board range of speed, switched reluctance motor drive(SRD) has became the powerful competitor against the traditional AC and DC motor drive systems.In the tunnel transportation by railroad car system, the drive system always use two motor to drive a railroad car at the same time, for the sake of minimizing the transition period, the energy dissipation in the transition period and the rotary inertia of the mechanical equipment.In the double motor with the same shaft drive system, due to the attrition in shaft and gear backlash ,the driving extant, driving accurate and sync performance are not good, in order to improve this situation, this paper bring up a new kind of driving type which is double switched reluctance motor driving system based on independently rotating wheel. In essence, this driving type includes a couple of single motor-single wheel drive systems, in the same time these two drive systems do not have any mechanical relationship. Consequently, when moving on a straight rail, this driving system require the two motors working at a same speed to avoid the crossed sliding movement, meanwhile, when moving on a curve, the driving system let the two motors work at different speeds, in order to make the independently rotating wheels working at differential speed situation.This paper begins with the establishment of SRM simulation stage. On the basis of study on SRM's basic theories and nonlinear model, the simulation of 4- phase(8 /6poles) SRD is finished in the environment of MATLAB/Simulink, for the purpose of farther study on control strategies.In the straight movement situation, after analyzing the master reference control and master slave control, this paper brings up an improved master slave control strategy, which can help the central controller find out which motor was disturbed and also confirm the master-slave relationship of the two motor, by doing this the couple of single motor-single wheel drive systems can work on the same status. In the curve movement situation, after comparing the four-wheel differentia of electrical vehicle and independently rotating wheel construction of railroad car, this paper brings up a turning differentia scheme which is based on fuzzy controller.By fuzzy determine whether the motors'speed change were due to the disturbance of curve movement, the central controller receive the signal from the fuzzy controller and send out new speed reference to the two motor. By verifying in the environment of MATLAB/Simulink, in the ideal conditions, the improved master slave control and the turning differentia scheme can satisfy the requirements.
