Water damage of the bridge deck is one of the important issues which affect durability , and waterproofing materials and technology is the key to solve water damage.There are many kinds of bridge deck waterproofing materials in home market and abroad.The actual performance is influenced by the external environment greatly.It base on the thought of simulant tests in the laboratory to evaluate the performance of the waterproofing materials in this paper, and under the investigation of the waterproofing materials, we choose some materials to test there performance which are SBS modified asphalt, the water quality asphalt waterproof coating material, Cementitions Capillary Crystalline Waterproofing Agents, and a material which is brought forward by our laboratory that is a kind of compound made by mixing the SBS modified asphalt and the Trinidad Lake Asphalt (TLA) .we plan to analyse the performance of these material according to property tests of the waterproofing material, these tests are high temperature property test, low temperature property test, ageing resistance test and at the same time ,to explain the property and the waterproofing mechanism of these material according to the Micro-Analysis test.Simultaneously, we do the road performance test, which are shear test,drawing test, resistance to the construction damage test and water permeability test to analyse the actual performance of these material.On the basis of the analysis of the results of the above test, we find that the bonding performance of the asphalt waterproof coating material is better than the Water quality asphalt waterproof coating material. The pull-out test Strength and the shear Strength in ordinary temperature and high temperature of the asphalt waterproof coating material are much higher than that of the Water quality asphalt waterproof coating material.
