| At present, economic competition has become the focus of competition in the world and a major driving force of social development. For enterprises, the core of the competition is the new product design competition. With the rapid development of information technology, product life cycle curtails daily, the product innovation speed will be faster and faster. If a business has a sustainable innovation mechanism and personnel, it will be able to control the commanding point of technology and products in fierce international market competition. Therefore, under the new situation of advocating the construction of innovative contry, for cultivation of mechanical designer's innovation consciousness, creation enthusiasm, innovation thinking and innovation ability, it is of great realistic signifiance to explore adapting to mechanical undergraduate education method of innovation design. Product reverse engineering based on product gene was studied in this paper, reverse engineering system was explored and the system was applied in mechanical design course to prove design and innovation ability of student.Product reverse engineering is researched firstly. The basic theroy of product reverse engineering based on product gene, including Decomposition and Reconstitution principle, Generalized Poistioning principle, function surface theroy and product gene defination. Function surface in conceptual structure is related through Generalized Poisition principle, and the conceptual structure of part and product gene were described by combination of function pattern and function surface.In technology research, the key technology of product gene reverse engineering is proposed in this paper, including the reverse acquisition for product gene, coding and storage technology of product gene, and establishment and management of product gene data. The product gene reverse acquisition includes establishment of product structure model and conceptual structure generation, design process reconstitution and so on.The product reverse engineering system PRE/DARFAD was developed on the basis of the above theroy and technology. The system was developed using object-oriented method and based on ACIS 3D modelling software platform.Starting from the existing product's 3D modelling, the 3D model of the product is built in this system or the file from third-party software is post processed, then the conceptual structure is generated, function pattern is extracted, the reverse of function gene is realized by function pattern coupling, include concretely: solid modelling, product assembly, conceptual structure generation, product gene acquisition, product data managenment and version management. Finally with an example of bench drill, A detailed description of how to teach student mechanical product design process with the product reverse engineering method based on product gene, to find feasible design steps for a better understanding of design knowledge, and to provide a good platform of innovation design improvement. |
