Research On Displacement Measuring Instrument Of Grating Ruler

Grating measuring system has much more notable advantages than other measuring system, and this system occupied a large proportion in international market. Research on technology of grating precision measurement in our country is very late, and the displayment of the displacement mesuring instrument of grating ruler still on stage of LED today in our country. The LED display can not meet customer's need because of so little display information and can not display graphics. In order to extend the market and catch up with the requirement of customers, this paper do research on displacement measuring instrument which can collecte scale position data, process data, display, transimit.The design and implementation of displacement measuring instrument of grating ruler integrated use of computer software and hardware technology, electronic technology, data processing theory, plgu-in systems theory, interdisciplinary knowledge. This system use modual design theory, for instance, data collection modual, liquid crystal display modual, keypress modual, serial communication modual and function realization and so on. And the software take advantage of C51 language design. The instrument has the characteristics of using dot-matrix LCD display, which has small size and accurate display. It can measure features and display the feature graphics dynamically, at the same time, it can setup features, construct features, parameters setup, skew the cooridinates, conversion between inch and metric, coversion between polar and rectangular coordinates, last but not the least it has good practical value.At first, the paper explain principle of scale, and design the interface of data collection.Base on that, make use of single chip microcontroller as CPU, design the external circuits as: keyboard, LCD display, communication driver and memory blackout function.At the same time, this system realized all kinds of functions of measurement intrument of grating ruler displacement, such as features measurement, features construct, features setup, conversion between inch and metric, coordinates conversion, parameters setup and so much functions of adcanced intrument. In addition, realized functions as program record, program running and program edit, which can make convenient for bulk of workpieces measurement.The innovation point is as following:make use of large LCD screen, which can display graphics of features, and can store large data at once while power off.
