Northern Winter City Residential Areas, Environmental Landscape Design Study

Outside environmental landscape design of residential districts is different between cold-region city and warm south region because of the different climate features. We should look squarely at the objective conditions of cold climate and analysis of its pros and cons. We try to through the design to adapt to the cold climate and overcome adverse factors. The winter city geographical characteristics will become more prominent and the cultural life will also be colorful in the winter.This paper discuses on the question of how to landscape design outside residential environment. First of all, from our winter city outside living environmental landscape's status quo and problems, try to point out the problems in our current design. Then,analysis of the impact of winter city outside residential environmental landscape design factors. Cold weather is the decisive factor which is the impact of outside living environment in comfort. In addition, we should consider of building factors and socio-cultural factors impact on the outside residential environmental landscape design. On this basis, in outside residential environmental landscape design, we propose that the basis of the basic principle should be "people-oriented", adhere to the principle of ecology, and reflect regional economy. In addition, this paper based on the outside residential environmental Landscape,here including plants, buildings, water, roads and Pieces environment, initial propose to help improve the thermal comfort of outside residential environment. Against the adverse winter weather, the search for effective responses and scientific design means, actively create a dynamic environment winter living outside the region, and improve their quality, thermal comfort, in order to highlight winter city residential areas geographical characteristics.Through comprehensive researching and analysis I hope that this paper will offer some good ideas in creation and theoretical research of the outside residential environmental landscape design in cold-region cities, and cause thinking more deeply.
