A Study Of The Macroscopic Strategic Transportation Model

The purpose of the urban strategic transportation development planning lies in determining the transportation grid and structure in the long run, fixing the investment direction, construction scale, construction level, deciding the industrial policies, development policies of the transportation vehicles and operation management policies for the urban transportation system development, and help in deciding the mode & trend of the future urban passenger transportation system.The basic characteristics of the strategic planning are to be simple while comprehensive, sensitive but not fussy, to concentrate on the main points while able to act with the fact. Be"simple"is the main point of the strategic planning. So, it is necessary to set up a simplified transportation demand model to minimize the expense and complexity of the analysis scheme in the strategic planning process.First, this paper characterizes the importance of the strategic planning for transportation development, the main problems in the strategic planning area and usual solutions for these problems. After the analysis of the status quo of the research domestic and abroad, the purpose of the paper was settled to put forward a practical method for strategic traffic model construction. Chapter two of this paper is mainly about the modeling methods for strategic transportation models, including study of methods for strategic transportation models,analysis of strategic transportation models,analysis of the key factor of strategic transportation models.this paper considers the basic modeling methods for models is system dynamics.Next,the paper introduces the importation,output of the main fator of,and the constitute of strategic transportion model. The third chapter of this paper studies out some strategic traffic planning scheme matching the function layout and land use of the city following model set up method. These studies include the urban scope development, transport model , urban traffic corridors,and urban artery grid planning.Finally, the in-out flow system and evaluation system of the strategic model were summarized. In the aspect of the in-out flow system, the structure of the elementary data, the gaining and storing means are laid out. Combining with the GIS technology, a GIS traffic data system practical for strategic model was brought forward. On the other hand, the decision making theory was combined with the fact of strategic planning to put forward the power matrix and evaluation method of the strategic model.An ideal urban traffic model should combine data collection, model construction and decision-making to make these functions a whole one. In the study process, empirical study was chosen as the main research method to show the course of its development and to find the general laws from the special examples.
