An Analysis Of Status Quo And The Study On The Landscape Of Lanshan Town

With the booming of China's urban and rural economy in recent years, the environment for its development becomes more open, and simultaneously the small towns between urban and rural areas are facing unprecedented profound changes. In the course of rapid urbanization, the study on landscape planning of small towns becomes a frontier of the science. In the practice of landscape construction, local governments of these towns and design professionals have done a lot of work, which functions as a powerful impetus to the landscape building of these towns . It is undeniable in practice that due to the delayed development and imprecision of theories, there exist such designing and planning problems as"construction first, planning second""Cities resemble European cities; villages do Africa villages". In this paper, a systematic analysis of small towns as watersheds is conducted on the unique design background and the content; a brief exposition of the status quo of foreign landscape planning and construction of small cities and towns is done and the prospect and trend in China is also dealt with. A variety of design principles, rules and methods of landscape planning are explored, and in the case of landscape planning of Lanshan District, the author contemplates and offers her countermeasures. It is helpful to the local landscape planning and design work both theoretically and practically.
