How the planning andconstruction of the landscape characteristics of small towns intensive research is verynecessary. The square is a small town elements, in the square construction is the priorityamong priorities of urban landscape design. In this paper, a part includes the study oftheoretical research and practical application, the research is based on the related theory,regional resource environment as the starting point, discusses the influencing factors ofnature and people to the small town square landscape design, proposed the constructionprinciple and method of landscape planning and design, the modern small towns application example, the natural landscape planning and design, landscape planning anddesign has a very good combination, to improve operability, providing some referencefor the small town square landscape construction in Heilongjiang province.This paper is divided into six parts: the first chapter is the introduction, the conceptof relative content of small town landscape design was defined, clarify its importance,to the small town square landscape practical purpose and significance, and researchideas and methods are presented in this paper. The second chapter is the foundation,introduced the development process of Heilongjiang traditional towns, modern smalltown square, the development status and problems. The third chapter, separately fromthe basic theory and principle of environmental facilities, square to study, enumeratesthe outstanding cases at home and abroad square design on the characteristics of smalltowns in Heilongjiang province of sublimation, this chapter is the priority amongpriorities. In the fifth chapter, taking Heilongjiang province Yi’an town leisure square asan example, analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the small town square design,provide some reference to the landscape of small cities and towns construction inHeilongjiang province.
