| As an important part of railway.transportation, shunting work is a complicated job with high technique and demand. Because signal status is confirmed by drivers and shunters, accidents happen from time to time. It has been a big threat to the railway transportation safety. So we need to develop a system to protect the locomotive and drivers and this system can be called cab-signal and supervision system in radio shunting.There are mainly two parts in this system: the server on the ground and the monitoring unit on the locomotive, information exchange between these two parts by the wireless communication. The server sends the station information the locomotive needed to the monitoring unit and the unit uses this information to realize the destination of protecting the locomotive. The server on the ground concerns more about the truth and actuality of the station information and the monitoring unit is responsible for the calculation of the distance the locomotive covers.This system can protect the locomotive from going past the closed signal, doing the work with an excessive speed. With the help of LKJ2000 locomotive monitoring and recording system, it can track the position and speed of the locomotive and then realize its destination. Besides, this system can record the data including signal status, locomotive speed and controlling mode. These are very useful when fault analysis and diagnosis are needed.There are mainly six parts in this dissertation. The first one is introduction. The importance and actuality of the shunting work and the necessity of the wireless shunting locomotive signaling and monitoring system are pointed out in this part. The developing platform is also introduced in this part. The main function of this system is explained in the second part. In the third part some critical technique used in the ground part of this system is discussed and the problems that should be concerned about during the communication between the ground and the locomotive are pointed out in part 4. In part 5, more than ten kinds of safety controlling mode and some related arithmetic used in the monitoring unit on the locomotive are discussed. Our plan to improve this system is mentioned in the last part. |
