Flat shunting business informatization is an important task in the construction of railway modernization, and the wireless flat shunting system is the main equipment in order to bear and achieve flat shunting service informatization. This article in view of the actual application in railway marshalling station communication characteristic, field investigations, further study of the status quo and development of Chinese railway, especially the special railway communication direction, and the characteristics of the technology, proposed the corresponding solution according to the actual demand.Digital wireless flat shunting system is studied in this paper which is used in the iron and steel enterprises. The system can realize the shunting command, voice calls and transmission of shunting list, with a variety of security mechanisms, which is to improve the efficiency of shunting in place while greatly reducing safety accidents, and serve the internal special railway line transportation. The system has the dual protection mechanism and shunting list synchronization mechanism. The former can make the locomotive controller to detect fault conditions in the moving state of handheld devices, the latter can make the equipment automatically sync back to the correct information in the presence of shunting operation under the condition of shunting list step. System of this research mainly includes the locomotive controller, shunting handheld devices, shunting mayor device and shunting data server. Terminal equipment has LCD screen, it can real-time display the shunting operation schedule. Shunting data server can be connected with both the information system, and with the help of information system has the function of complete dispatcher centralization.Through the efforts, the thesis completed the system design, locomotive controller hardware design and system debugging. After the optimization and improvement, wireless digital flat shunting system has through the field test and correlation test, forming formal products, and adopted by large state-owned enterprises. The successful development of this topic research of wireless digital flat shunting system can not only effectively improve the technical level of shunting system, but also has high reference value in research and development of related products.
