Double-tower connected structure refers to multi-storey buildings with two tower blocks which are linked at a certain height by a passage way or corridor. Integral rigidity of this structure is large, but the connector is of complicated structural stress. Dynamic characteristic of analysis model of double-tower connected structure is more complicated than the one without connector under earthquake action. It is a focus of vibration control how to control vibration response. The paper research time-history analysis and methods to vibration control of double-tower structure with weak connection under horizontal earthquake action after the writer refered to the present achievements at home and abroad.1.Model building for double-tower connected structure based on story model: to build 4 models of double-tower connected structures based on their assign position, and install the dampers accordingly for damping by consume the earthquake energy.2.To calculate the time-history analysis of the models: time-history analysis is carried out of double-tower connected structure and model without connector, on the basis of the above analysis, the paper compare vibration response if the structure setup viscous fluid damper, then summarized the results of numerical analysis.3.parameter optimization subjected to earthquake: to get the best effect, numerical analysis on the control action for indexes controlled by vibration which effeced by damping coefficient to viscous fluid damper and arrangement mode to connector is carried out. Also get control law on optimized parameter setting for the structure vibration response such as multiple time-history response, top displacement, story drift, the bottom floor shear force etc.
