The traditional analysis and design of steel frame assume beam-column connections are fully rigid or ideal pin connections. In fact, all connections of the steel structures are belong to semi-rigid connection. Thus, in order to precisely reflect the simulation of frames under the earthquake, more reasonable beam-column joints performance should be adopt. The work of this paper mainly focus on this issue.First of all ,this paper design a four-story frame which combine the character of CBF and MF ,also fixed the size of the beam and column sections. What's more , this paper use ANSYS to analyze the performance of beam-column joints ,including their static and dynamic capabilities , and got their Moment-Rotation curve and hysteresis curve. In addition , this paper make an investigation concerning the key factor which influence the performance of beam-column joints. Finally , this paper use a Kinematic mode to simulate the performance of beam-column joints ,and make an analysis towards the whole frame under the unique serious earthquake by SAP2000 ,through these method above , the paper finally got a dynamic response of the frame under the earthquake which is more reasonable and close to the fact.
