Firstly, the tradition evaluation of the automobile's power performance and economy performance is discussed, and a series of comparable evaluation that estimate the automobile's power performance and economy performance synthetically are investigated. The torque curve of engine is fitted by using the least square method, and the calculating methods of power performance and economy performance are summarized. From the universal characteristic curve of Engine , the curve of fuel consumption with statistic analysis function is fitted. Based on the curves the minimum transmission ratio can be optimized. Based on this, uses the losing ratio of power and the oil consumption at the cycle of multi-working conditions as the objective functions of the power performance and the economy performance respectively, and then transforms it into a single objective function by using the linear adding. Establishing the optimization mathematical model between the engine and the power train of the automobile, lastly, it is solved with the complex algorithm, which finding out the prime parameter of the power train to improve the integer performance of the automobile. The simulation calculation program of power performance and fuel economy is compiled by VB, MATLAB and Excel. Taking a bus for example, power performance and fuel economy is calculated and analyzed , and the impact of dynamic and fuel economy by bus driving changes in the parameters is analyzed, the ultimate achievement through reasonable matching power train to improve the efficiency of bus transportation to reduce fuel consumption purposes. The method was confirmed to be right by compared with the result of the test.
