Start-up process is a kind of complicated dynamic variation system, which exists not only continuous dynamic variables but also gone with discrete logic variables. The miscellany performance is very common in the flow manufacturing process; the modeling method to this process is far from mature at present. Based on some solvent recovery technology process, chemical miscellany performance has been discussed in this paper with the modeling method meanwhile. The paper proposes a new method by compartmentalizing the whole start-up process into several parts based on control task. Then, the paper proposes a method by using Time Petri Net to model the start-up process.Firstly, the hyprid property of start-up process is studied in this paper, and the process operation about start-up is described. All of them above mentioned provide my next work with a strong foundation. Later, the whole start-up process was compartmentalized into several parts. Then, according to the process's characters and compared with the convertional model tools, the Time Petri Net is adopted in this paper. Since the experiments were put into operation, it has been proved that the Time Petri Net with time delay is accord with start-ups' real practice. The result of simulation proves the validity of the way of modeling.The study shows the method of using TPN controlling model, and opens up a new field to the start-up, it is available to chemical process; it also has a good and wide prospect in application.
